With the aim of strengthening the state's automotive sector, the CLAUT in conjunction with the Undersecretariat of Foreign Investment and International Trade of the Ministry of Economic Development of Nuevo León, created the Committee of Investment Attraction, which aims to attract foreign investment in the automotive industry, focusing especially having businesses that generate higher value added jobs.
Likewise, the Committee will work for established companies continue to invest in Nuevo Leon in the state: to expand its production facility, providing engineering and design centers and / or opening a branch abroad, also will monitor the companies that have already shown interest in settling in the region, as well as support for the promotion of the state outside of Mexico to promote automotive investment and to make their competitive advantages.
In the future we also seeks to establish alliances with other automotive regions, as an example could be Ontario and San Antonio.
The Investment Attraction Committee is composed of Manuel Montoya, Director of CLAUT, and Fabiola Aguilar Martinez Coordinator of the Committee and by the Ministry of Economy, Mr. Andrés Franco Abascal, Secretary of Foreign Investment and International Trade, Mr. Samuel Peña Guzman, Director of Foreign Investment and Development of New Markets, Mr. Celina Villarreal Cardenas, Coordinator General of Foreign Investment, and Mr. Alfonso Peña Morales Project Coordinator Industrial and Subcontracting, Directorate of Industrial Development and Competitiveness.
