Suppliers Development

Supplier Development represents a strategy of CLAUT to raise the competitiveness of existing suppliers and identify potential providers in Nuevo Leon and Mexico, that in order to integrate them efficiently in the production and / or business services automotive tier 1 set out in our region and the country, contributing to the strengthening of exports and efficient import substitution.

Our goal is to generate a robust supply chain and efficient, creating relationships with suppliers under a system of "Win-Win" or "Add Value".

The committee includes the heads of procurement and business supplies automotive tier 1, representatives of the partner universities and the Ministry of Economic Development of the State of NL (SEDEC)

Our areas of work (sub) are:

• a) Location of Components
• b) Quality-Supplier
• c) Tooling

Main actions and ongoing programs

• Share best practices for supplier development (organizational structure, procedures and methodologies among others).
• Development of a catalog of all suppliers of components / materials direct and indirect effects of tier 1, with the aim of sharing information and streamlining procurement processes.
• Located components definition: plastic parts, stamped parts, electrical, hardware, etc.
• In the area of tooling, wa are developing a local supplier base for evaluation.

Future Projects

• Designing and implementing the training Program and Training Provider of Automotive tier 1:

  * Business Development (example: Program Management, Total Productive mtto, Teamwork, SMED, Lean, 5's, etc).

  * Automotive industry (eg APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, IMDS, etc)

• Location and selection of local and national suppliers that can supply components currently imported.
• Evaluation design and implementation of tooling providers regional and national.
